Wendell Berry: "To Know the Dark"
To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.

love Wendell Berry.
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever read any of your pieces. Will surely do so now. Rarely does poetry overwhelm me with emotion as this little gem did. I cried for quite a long moment. Perhaps the circumstances of my life are a bit raggedy and would move many men to tears. But! I am content in saying, your words are mostly responsible this time. I am indeed grateful.
ReplyDeleteLove this.
